Devlog 1: How Elara’s Last Breath Was Born

When I first set out to make a game, I actually had something very different in mind. I wanted to build something bigger, something that needed a full team — especially an artist. But I quickly realized that as a solo developer without an artist, I needed to change direction or I would never finish.

That’s when I started building Elara’s Last Breath.

I wanted to make something I could fully create on my own — using code, my writing, and web tools — without waiting on anyone else. Instead of giving up, I made a choice: I would turn my story into a web-based, choice-driven experience where the narrative, decisions, and branching paths would be the heart of the game.

What started as a backup plan became something I truly love. I discovered how powerful interactive fiction can be, especially when you build choices that really matter. Even without high-end graphics, I could create something that players could feel.

💡 What I Focused On:

Branching storylines with real consequences

Character health system that visually changes based on your choices

Faction paths that allow the story to unfold in different ways

Mini-games and inventory puzzles to keep gameplay interactive

A fully web-based, mobile-friendly game you can play instantly

🎯 Why I’m Sharing This:

I want to tell other solo developers: you don’t need to wait for the perfect team to start.

I didn’t have an artist. I didn’t have funding. I built it anyway.

Elara’s Last Breath might not have the biggest budget or the flashiest visuals, but it’s a game that’s personal to me — and it’s 100% complete.

✅ What's Next:

📱 APK version is ready and coming soon

🎮 Submission to web game portals like CrazyGames and GameMonetize

🎵 Adding sound effects and music in a future update

🌌 Planning more interactive stories and maybe, just maybe, collaborating with artists in the future!

---

💬 I’d Love Your Feedback!

What would you do to save someone you love?

Would you choose them over the world?

If you play the game, let me know your story, your choices, and your ending.

I built this game alone, but I hope you’ll make the story your own.

Thank you for being part of this journey!
